The Grounded
Space

A safe space to be vulnerable, and to be yourself.

I'm Antara Bezbarua. I founded The Grounded Space to work with people going through mental health struggles — to offer emotional support and therapy. I work online across India, and in person in Guwahati.

A quiet room with a green armchair, a plant and warm afternoon light

I believe every individual has the right to freely express their emotions and thoughts without hesitation — and I aim to create that safe haven.

Mental health is equally important as physical health, and both work together. It is crucial to seek help for mental health concerns at the right time, as you would for physical health.

This is a safe space to be vulnerable and be yourself. I use evidence-based and client-centred approaches, each tailored to your needs and expectations.

Any of this sound familiar?

Are you the one everyone leans on, with nowhere to put your own weight down?

Does rest feel like something you have to earn first?

Do you rewrite conversations in your head at two in the morning?

Have you been fine for so long you have lost track of what you actually feel?

Do you apologise for taking up space?

Is something from years ago still quietly running things?

Are you doing everything right and still feeling hollow?

Are you waiting for a bigger reason before you ask for help?

If one of those landed a bit close — taking the first step is the most important part, and I am here for you in that journey.

Every person has a story to share. I will facilitate you in yours, and help you become a healthier version of yourself.

Antara Bezbarua

Chief Counselling Psychologist · She / Her · Guwahati, Assam

Hey there, I'm Antara Bezbarua and I am the Chief Counselling Psychologist at The Grounded Space. I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Handique Girls’ College, Guwahati and Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Jain University, Bangalore with an experience spanning over 5 years.

I follow a person-centered and eclectic approach with my focus aligning towards CBT, DBT, REBT, art therapy and mindfulness. I am passionate about helping people with mental health issues by creating a safe and secure space where they can feel heard, free and be vulnerable.

My vision behind The Grounded Space was to help clients with mental health and guide them towards self discovery and healthy wellbeing. I believe in creating a grounded and healthy space for my clients to help them express their emotions and distress through empathy and non-judgmental support. I believe on two things mainly in my therapy room — trust and honesty — which is crucial for a healthy therapeutic journey.
